Our Commercial Director, João Felipe Martin Meca, clarifies the main doubts 🤔 about the Coronavirus (COVID-19), how it is transmitted and the importance of the Clean Room as a way to prevent the spread of the virus in the health area.
In the midst of a time of critical situations in the health area, faced by countries around the world, there is a need for a “task force” to serve the population in the best possible way. And, due to the advance of COVID-19 also in Brazil, in an initiative of the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz) with the Ministry of Health, 209 hospital beds will be built in Rio de Janeiro to treat people infected by the disease.
To make this project happen, with effective planning, specialized construction and the greatest safety of all patients, the Asmontec was invited to be part of a hospital center, in the fight against the new Coronavirus pandemic.
It is a project that, above all, has the ultimate objective of preserving life. “We have to think about society, first of all. Building such a large hospital in such a short time is technically very challenging. And from the moment we understood that it was the way we could most help society, those needy communities, we embraced the project and accepted the challenge”, declared João Felipe Martin Meca, Commercial Manager at Asmontec.
The construction of all beds will be coordinated by the company, from the planning stage to the realization. The construction of Clean Rooms will take into account some regulations, all according to specific norms and standards, in which, in this case, the main one is ANVISA's RDC 50.
The hospital project:
There will be individual beds, with more than 10m2 and there will be rest areas for the teams. It is worth mentioning that, as this is a project for the treatment of people infected with COVID-19, the safety of the patients themselves and of the professionals who will work in that place must be preserved.
The main foundations of this project are contamination control and containment. The infected patient cannot transmit the disease to the health team, nor to other people who come into contact with him, inside the hospital. Therefore, a very well designed system was used in the design of this hospital. “The entire system is made in a negative pressure regime with filtration, that is, the air of one patient does not come into contact with that of another, to guarantee the safety of all”, told João Felipe Martin Meca.
All the products used were chosen following cleanroom standards: sealing doors, double glazing, walls with rounded corners, among others. All thought, first, in the specific needs of the project, performance and fight against the pandemic, and of course, in the speed and ease of assembly. Each product contributes to the success of the system as a whole.
The hospital center will be a great ally in this battle we are currently experiencing. The more well-developed hospital structures are available to serve the population, the faster we will be able to overcome all this.
